10 - November 15
Now that the football team has made the playoffs, the band will be
performing their show at least one more time! The playoff game this
Saturday is at 1:00 at WOHS. Therefore the Pit Crew is needed at least
one more time to help out this week (if the football team wins, there
is the possibility that the band will perform again in the future...)
Just FYI, Randy might not be able to be there this week, but Steve will
be there. And by now we pretty much all know the drill... :o)
One plug for an event coming up in January. The Winter Guard show at
WOHS is scheduled for January 24, 2009. Please try to keep that
afternoon/evening free to help out! The last couple of years the Pit
Crew has lended a hand primarily with traffic control/parking lot duty,
but some have also helped out inside. It takes a lot of people to
spread the effort around to pull off this show!
Schedule for Saturday, November 15, 2008
Summary
- 10:45am -- remove the carts from the storage bin, grab a
few bungee cords if necessary
- 11:00am -- band practice ends, stage the instruments at
the football field
- 1:00pm -- the game starts
- half-time (approx. 2:00? -- be prepared earlier) --
half-time performance, instruments on & off the field
- after the performance -- help put the instruments and
carts away
Most of the instruments go back to the band
room. The following instruments go to the storage bin (behind the
school near the bubble):
- the carts
- the 3 podiums
- 1 bass drum
- the 4 timpani (kettle drums)
- the older marimba
- the chimes
